Dive into bliss!
I have distinguished myself by providing comprehensive behavioral health services across primary care clinics, community centers, and hospital settings, with a strong focus on holistic patient care. My expertise, developed through seamless collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, encompasses a range of therapeutic models including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Contextual Functional Therapies. This approach allows me to offer personalized paths to healing and growth.
I work with clients who recognize the importance of addressing their mental and emotional well-being, whether they are dealing with mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, stress management challenges, or self-esteem concerns. Additionally, some clients are coping with chronic conditions such as cancer, STD's/HIV+, autoimmune disorders, or women's health issues, which affect their physical and emotional health.
My academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Psychology from UMass Boston, and a Clinical Psychology Doctorate from Ponce Health Sciences University in 2021. I am licensed in Puerto Rico and hold a Telehealth License for providing services to Florida residents. Currently, I am a member of the Medical Faculty at Ashford Hospital in the ObGyn Department and also offer clinical and health psychology services through my private practice, serving adolescents aged 15 and above, adults, and couples.
My research, including a dissertation on burnout among Puerto Rican healthcare providers, highlights how burnout often arises from a misalignment between work and core values. I find great satisfaction in helping patients navigate this challenge, applying insights from my research to guide them in reconnecting with their values and overcoming burnout in their professional lives.
